Praise and Castigation, Sunday free, plea to second violins and violas

I was proud of our orchestra, which played beautifully for Mr Kuchinka. But I am shocked and disappointed by the fact that no second violins turned up, and only two violas. Most of those who were absent were expected, as I was not informed of their intention not to attend. Please would all second violinists and violists be so good as to advise me of your intentions re Monday and Tuesday at once, at the address info at sboraorchestruk.cz?!

Today we also rehearsed the Ryba Christmas Mass in A, and had a very intensive and fruitful day - the session with Mr Kuchinka being particularly enthralling. I have therefore given the Orchestra a day off on Sunday, to recuperate, digest the work already done today, and renew energy levels for Monday and Tuesday.

Many thanks and congratulations to all who attended, and of course thanks to the minority who, due to unavoidable circumstances outside their control were not able to attend but informed me of the fact in advance!

P.S. On Tuesday we perform Dvorak's Symphony No. 5, Smetana's Ceska pisen, and Dvorak's Te Deum, in that order.

Vazeni, byl jsem hrdy za nas orchestr, jenz hral krasne pro pana Kuchinku. Ale jsem byl zaskocen a velmi zklaman tim, ze zadny druhy housliste nebyli, a bylo jen dva violy. Vetsina tech, co neprisly, byla ocekavana, ponevadz me neinformovala, ze nebude moci prijit. Prosim nyni, aby veskere druhy housliste a violy mi co nejdrive psaly na adresu info a sboraorchestruk.cz, a mi dali vedet, jestli prijdou v pondeli a v utery ci nikoliv. Diky.

Dnes jsme zkouseli i Rybovkuin A, and meli velmi intenzivni a plodny den - prace s panem Kuchinkou byl velice vyborna, ale cely den byl velmi uspesny. Proto jsem rozhodl dat Orchestru volny den v nedeli, na odpocinek, soukromne cviceni a konsolidaci - mentalni a fyzicky - dnesni praci, a ziskani sil na pondeli a utery.

Velmi dekuji a blahopreji vsem, co dnes hrali, a take diky mensine, ktera, sice z zavaznych duvodu nemohla byt pritomna, ale vcasne me o tom informovala.
